Rick Raemisch arrived in Colorado in July 2013 after a nearly 40-year career in law enforcement and corrections in Wisconsin, which culminated. Following his 9/11 epiphany, Raemisch ran for district attorney against incumbent Brian Blanchard, but the defeat knocked the steam out of Raemisch's political ambitions. He joined the state Tax Appeals Commission before being appointed administrator of Community Corrections in 2003.
